Death of the Mechanical Man is a short silent film set to an original electronic score. The work tells the story of an astronaut traveler searching of answers to the mystery of his past and own mortality. Death of the Mechanical Man was sponsored with the generous support from the IUPUI Arts and Humanities Institute (IAHI) and the Indiana Arts Commission.

DMM was the first of several collaborative projects with artist Brian McCutcheon who designed and constructed many of the visual elements in the work and also played 'the astronaut.' The project was also another opportunity to experimental storytelling strategies with my friend Jordan Munson who helped me develop many of the narrative and design concepts and handled most of the photography in the project .

DMM was premiered on October 25, 2016 at a special event held in the historic Indianapolis City Market Catacombs. The project was was projected onto three screens and accompanied by a special live musical score by Big Robot. Versions of DMM project have been featured at Java Arts, Phnom Penh (2016), Montreal Underground Film Festival (2018), and Root Signals Electronic Music Festival (2016).
