Big Robot was a collaborative group focused on experimenting with interactive music technology into live musical performance. The music often featured computer-based instruments, unconventional percussion instruments (such as bicycle wheel), and integrated video elements. The group was made up of of Scott Deal, Michael Drews, and Jordan Munson. The group's activity spans a ten year period from 2008-2018 performing at new music and art events across the country and two international residencies in China (Beijing, 2012 and Guangzhou, 2014). In 2013 Big Robot released a self-titled DVD album of their music and video works. The ten year collaboration In Big Robot was a pivotal period of discovery and invention that guided my future artistic and academic work.
